Incoming Women's Tennis Association (WTA) leader Valerie Camillo is familiar with dedicated effort from past positions - including one as a board member of the entertainment company managing American iconic singer Dolly Parton's theme parks.

As well as her contributions into Parton's brand empire, Camillo takes over the helm at women's tennis with a wealth of experience in sports and media, with past roles in senior leadership posts at the world's premier basketball league, National Hockey League (NHL) and professional baseball.

Camillo will begin her leadership position at the WTA this November, taking over from the outgoing Steve Simon, who led for a decade is ending upon his departure.
