The Music Icon Embraces a Dark Alter Ego of Her Own Identity in Mockumentary First Look
The Grammy-winning artist is gearing up for a significant cinematic onslaught in 2026, kicking off with the fictional documentary titled The Moment.
Within the project, she embodies what she refers to as a hell version of her public image.
It’s the most authentic portrayal of the music business that I’ve ever encountered, the performer remarked.
She further explained in an interview: This isn’t a concert film, however the inspiration came from the demand to make one.
An Early Look into The Film
The initial preview, launched on Thursday, mixes authentic footage from her live performances with imagined backstage scenes.
The mockumentary is overseen and co-authored by Aidan Zamiri, who revealed that the plot focuses on a scenario where the singer took completely different paths in the publicity of her chart-topping release Brat.

The film is only one of numerous forthcoming film appearances for the star, who already appeared in three cinematic festival entries this year.

She recently signed on to appear in the actress’s maiden directing project A Tree in Blue.

Musical Contributions
Next February will also bring the debut of Emerald Fennell’s version of Wuthering Heights, which will showcase original songs from Charli.
Additionally, she will compose the score for the film Mother Mary, featuring Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, planned for launch in the coming year.
The Moment will be released on the 30th of January.
